Hailing from "The Land Of The Long White Cloud", NZ beat maker/DJ Hyperfokus2000 aka Mikey Davidson has made his presence felt across the Melbourne music scene since 2008.
Bringing to you some of that feel-good hiphop and glitch with elements of dub, raggae, liquid dnb, future beats and house music, Mike's eclectic mixes are held together with the common theme of funk. Characterised by big-beat, groovy numbers, expect to hear sounds of the 60's and 70's infused with the glitched-out sounds of tomorrow.
In 2015, Hyperfokus2000 was given valuable opportunities on numerous occasions to play abroad in Koh Tao in the gulf of Thailand and calls it his home away from home. While travelling the beautiful landscape of south east asia he was inspired to produce his Liquid Static EP that has recently been released on Bandcamp for your listening pleasure and promises to be a soulful and chilled journey through future soundscapes and 808 basslines.
